Domain Buying Scams

I've never been ripped off thankfully, but one way a scammer could rip a person off is by asking for money for the domain and the person never transfers the domain to the buyer. I'd take it up with the staff of the website where the scam happened, and hope the admins would take action to the person scamming others.

For the above reason, I *never* buy domains on behalf of people, not even my work clients - I had one ask me if I'd do it for him, and I'm like... sorry, no, I want to help you and all but I'm not going to buy a domain just to avoid any weird impropriety.
